Pooling
How does Pooling work ?

Pooling means sharing your ride with other riders having similar routes and timings. We cluster riders into pools based on the information that you provide including gender and age so females are only pooled with females and males are pooled with males for maximum comfort. You can pool with up to 4 riders on cars and 3 riders on rickshaws. Pooling helps you cut down on costs and make new friends :)

While making a pool we try to ensure that every rider is able to reach their destinations on or before time in the morning trips and get picked up on time on their way back..

What is meant by 2, 3 and 4 person pooling?

You can decide the maximum number of riders you want to pool with based on your comfort level. Choosing a larger pool automatically makes you eligible for smaller pools as well. Just remember: *Larger Pools -> More Sharing -> Better Savings!

How am I helped with price savings when pooling with other users?

We price trips based on pre-determined trip distance, trip timings and service costs. Pooling means that these costs can be shared by more people resulting in lower cost for everyone. Did we tell you that it is environmentally friendly as well :)

Can I choose to change the pool or the users that I pool with?

All pools are subject to availability of similar riders and vehicles for your route. We and our algorithms work really hard to confirm a favorable pool for you. You can choose to leave a pool but we do not guarantee availability of another favorable pool or same pricing if you choose to do so. Better if you work out your differences. After all, it takes two to build a bridge :)

What personal information is shared with the user I pool with?

No personal information is shared with other riders in the pool before confirmation of your pool. We only share your name and trip details in the mobile application once the rides are scheduled. Your personal information like email address, mobile number and even pricing is never shared with other users of the pool so your personal information stays private.

Can I pool with my friends or the people I know?

You absolutely can! Just submit your requests and have your friends submit requests as well. Let our support staff know the request IDs of the riders you prefer to pool with and they will provide you custom pool information and route pricing for your preferred pools after confirmation from other riders.

Just make sure that you and your friends or people you wish to pool with have similar trip locations and timings.

How does the pooling effect my pick-up and drop-off times?

We try to pool riders with similar timings in a way that each rider is able to reach their destinations on or before time in the morning trips or departure trips and get picked up on time on their way back. At times, it may mean that you may get picked-up in the morning ahead of your suggested pick-up time to ensure everybody reaches their desired locations before time but never late.

Similarly, we try to schedule your return trips in a way that you can leave your work or study place comfortably but the drop-off order on return trip is determined by our algorithms to minimize distance and costs.

Your pooled timings are communicated and confirmed from you before your rides are scheduled. Pool timings once confirmed are however fixed and have to be adhered to strictly. You do get up to 5 mins to leave your home or workplace/studyplace but timing variations in pooled rides cannot be managed. Time is a valuable asset. Best if you respect other's time so they respect yours and everybody wins.

What happens if a member of my pooled ride leaves?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may force one or more of your pool members to leave. In such an eventuality, we try to find a new pool for you at the earliest however, please note that all shared pools are subject to availability of similar users and vehicles for your route. Your pool price for the given month shall remain the same but may vary subsequently depending on what new pool is formed. All such changes are communicated to you ahead of your next billing date.

Schedule
What happens if my pick-up or drop-off schedule changes?

Any permanent change in your pick-up or drop-off schedule mostly means that we can no longer continue with the same shared pool. We try to find a new pool for you at the earliest even if such changes are in the middle of the month however, all pools are subject to availability. Your billing for the given on-going month shall also not be refunded. We suggest you plan and communicate any schedule changes ahead of time and at month end if possible to avoid any inconvenience..

What happens if my pick-up or drop-off location changes?

How are calendar holidays and government announced public holidays managed?

You can choose to use the service on calendar holidays and public holidays for your fixed route only as well but subject to your driver's availability. Communicate ahead to avoid any inconvenience. Service shall not be available in case of riots, strikes, terrorist attacks, natural calamities, acts of God and such eventualities

What happens when I take a off-day or a couple of days off?

You can request to take a day off or a couple of days off as well. Such holidays have no impact on your pricing for the month

Can temporary changes in schedule be managed?

Unfortunately, we currently do not have a provision for temporary changes in schedule as a pooled ride may include more than one riders and it may not be possible for all pooled riders to change their schedule timings. We are working to introduce new and more flexible models for riders with flexible needs as well.

Can I ask the driver to make additional stops overs or take an alternate route?

Your route is system determined for cost and distance minimization and optimization. There is currently no provision for stop overs or alternate routes except in cases of temporary blockages.

Payment
When do I have to clear the payments ?

All monthly payments shall be made in advance of the start of service on the communicated due date for payment on the official invoice sent. We are working to introduce new and more flexible models for riders with flexible needs as well.

What payment modes are available ?

Paying for your service at Shahi Sawari is a breeze. You can pay online using your debit/credit card. You may also pay in cash via Jazz Cash through any Jazz Cash outlet. You will get your payment voucher and online payment link along with your monthly advance invoice

What is the refund policy ?

We currently do not offer any refunds for discontinuation or change in service and holidays..
